In 2005, The Game rose to fame after releasing his first ever album. Recording Industry Association of America certified the album in March 2005. Since its release, the album has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide.
People considered this artist who rose in the 2000s to be a big driving force in bringing back west coast hiphop to the mainstream in addition to competing with East Coast counterparts. Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre placed the Game into the G-Unit. And following his issues with 50 Cent, he decided to leave the Aftermath entertainment and joined the Geffen Records – a label under the Universal Music Group’s Interscope-Geffen-A&M division. He released his second album Doctor’s Advocate in the year 2006 which was his second album to debut as the first on US Billboard 200 Chart. Doctor’s Advocate didn’t feature any Dr Dre production. Game Rapper was nominated with two nominations in total for Grammy Award for the Best Rap Performance & Grammy Award for The Best Rap Song. New York Times also named the Doctor’s Advocate as the best hip hop album in 2006. His successful story is the Game Clothing line.
